Henry Muse

The first time I ever picked up a paint brush was about five years ago.  I was thirty-six.  It changed my life.
I enrolled in a local junior college to earn a graphic design degree.  For a design class, I had to paint a picture.  We could paint whatever we wanted.  I chose to paint a picture of me and my wife (then fiance) on our wedding day.  Since then, I haven't stopped painting.  After only three months, I was in a prestigous north jackson gallery, and in a couple of years I was part of a group show, and then my own show.  I've seen my work on covers of magazines, and I have been interviewed on WLBT.  But the most fun for me is being in my studio, creating, watching the colorful flow of the paints, seeing a blank canvas or paper begin to form into something special that touches a place inside someone.      I think original art should be for everyone, not just the financially fortunate.  To do this, I create many of my works on Arches 140lb watercolor paper.  I don't frame or mat the work myself, because I would have to pass the cost onto you.  This allows you the creative option of framing and matting in the colors and styles you want the piece in for your home.
I love to hear from people who've seen my work on this website or others, people who may have purchased art from me, or those who've met me in person at shows.  Let me know,  click on the "What Do You Think of My Art?" button and leave me a few words.

Thanks Henry.
